Jean W. Annis - Jean (Walker) Annis, 70, who had farmed with her husband, worked as an assistant cook at Chinook Senior Center, volunteered at the Food Pantry and at youth group activi-ties, and enjoyed gardening, reading, walking and spending time with her grandchildren, died of cancer Tuesday, July 19, at a Havre hospital.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in Harlem Cemetery, followed by a memorial reception and luncheon at Wallner Hall in Chinook. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her children, Calvin Annis of Harlem, and Chrissy Downs and Clayton Annis of Chinook; a brother, George Walker of Hogeland; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Tom Rucinsky of St. Louis, Mo., Jack Ruckinsky of Seattle, Dennis Rucinsky of Oshkosh, Wis., Dave Rucinsky, Margaret Horn and Dee Jennings, all of Havre, and Dona Keeler of Great Falls; and three grandchil-dren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Annis, in 1996.
