   Leslie G. Latray, 80, of Christina, was killed in a farming accident Saturday evening, Aug 9. at his ranch.

   He was born Aug 27, 1916, the son of Joseph and Grace Latray on Box Elder Creek in Fergus County. He received

his schooling in Box Elder Elementary School and Fergus County High School.

   He then worked on the family homestead in the foothills of the North Moccasin Mountains. In 1948, he moved to Great

Falls and Simms area when he worked until 1964.

   On June 30, 1964, he ws united in marriage to Carol Murphy, of Cascade, in Idaho Falls, Id. They lived in the Bozeman area

until 1966 when they returned to ranch in the North Moccasin Mountains.

   In 1978, they purchased a  ranch near Christina where they lived and ranched until the time of his death.

   He loved his family, farming, ranching, rodeo and law enforcement.

   He was a member of the Fergus County Sheriff's Reserve and the Little Shell Tribe of the Chippewa Cree.

   He is survived by his wife of Christina, three sons, Dean, of Idaho Falls, Matthew and Jacob, bith of Los Angeles, Ca.; two daughters, Leah Latray and Camille Latray and her children, Camren and Celia, all of Seattle, Wa.; one brother, Leonard, and one sister, Thelma Fordyce, both of Lewistown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Latray was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lillian, Leona, and Rose.

   Services will be Friday, Aug 15, at 11am in the Fergus Center for the Preforming Arts.

   Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

   Friends may make memorials to the Winifred Ambulance or the Winifred High School Scholarship Fund and they may be left at the funeral home.
