Mary A. 'Mae' Gardipee


CHINOOK -- Mary A. "Mae" (Morin) Gardipee, 90, of Chinook, a former cook, died of natural causes Friday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Deer Lodge.

Rosary is 7 p.m. Monday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is handling arrangements.

Survivors include daughters Ann Marie Fleury of Ellensburg, Wash., Elaine Huffman of Lindwood, Wash., Helen Trueax of Burlington, Kan., and Marilyn Crews of Salem, Ore.; a son, Rodney Gardipee of Eugene, Ore.; sisters Irene S. Gardner of Tacoma, Wash., and Agnes Kolczak of Malta; brothers Raymond Morin of San Francisco and Clarence Morin of Salem, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter J. Doney Sr. and James W. Gardipee; a daughter, Patricia LaTray; and a son, Walter Doney Jr.
