Oscar Dahl

Oscar Carl DahI, 85, a former resident of Chinook, died of natural causes on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the home of his son, Blake Dahl, in Ham Lake, MN (a suburb of Minneap0l is).

Oscar is survived by four children, a son, Blake (Mary) Dahl of Ham Lake, MN; three daughters, Celeste (Larry) Overcast of Sunburst, Diane Perkins of Great Falls and Valerie Clikeman of Havre; two brothers, Edward Dahl and Howard (Rosalie) Dahl all of Chinook; one sister, Helen (Loren) Rasmussen of Chinook; eight grandchildren, Penni (George) Dugan of Harlem, Daniel (Tena) Perkins of Wyoming, Brian Miles Perkins of Great Falls, Marshall (Amber) Overcast of Bozeman, Desiree Overcast of Butte, Conner Overcast of Sunburst, Stephanie (Les) Stevenson of Havre and Todd (Danene) Clikeman of Billings; and. five great grandchildren, Kassie and Kayla Dugan of Harlem, and Nicholas, Samuel and Amy Stevenson of Havre.

He was preceded in death by his wife Zita; his father and mother, Andrew and Anna Dahl of Chinook; a grandson, Spencer Carl Perkins of Fort Benton; and two brothers, Arthur Dahl of Chinook and William Dahl of Sunburst.

Oscar was born on his parents' farm south of Chinook. He spent his childhood years on the homestead farm and attended country school and Chinook High School. He married Zita Rasmussen in Chinook on October 9, 1947. After their marriage they farmed south of Chinook.

Oscar was very loved by his family and respected by the community. Memorials are suggested to the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. Cards of condolence to the family may be sent to:
