   Graveside rites were conducted this afternoon for Ralph E. Kline, 71, who died Tuesday in Portland, Oregon. The Rev. Joseph Wahlin, pastor of the Rudyard Lutheran Church, officiated. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

   Pallbearers were Robert Toner, Gerald Griffin, Ray Stanberry, Clarence Wehr, Leonard Poier and Arnold Goldberg.

   Kline is survived by his sons Donald and Samuel of Rudyard, Duncan of Garden City, Kansas, Dan of Portland, Ore., and a daughter, Mrs. Robed (Viola) Hansen of Portland.

   Four sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Hammie Boyd, Keokuk, Iowa; Mrs. George Marker, Mrs. Gertrude Warwick and Mrs. Eve

Leonard, all of Waterloo, Iowa. Nine grandchildren also mourn his passing.

   Ralph E. Kline was born January 29, 1894 in Independence, Iowa. He was married to Bessie Dick on July 26, 1929 in Great Falls. She died August 1, 1958.

   In 1916 he came to Montana, moving to Rudyard in 1932, where he was in business for many years. In later years he moved to Portland to be near his son and daughter.

   Mr. Kline was a member of Havre Lodge No. 1201, BPOE.
